Ryūsuke’s customized Duel-disk exploded open, and with the glimmer of changing lights, the device activated, thus marking the beginning of the duel. As his opponent had already made the first move; his “Your turn,” signified it was now Ryūsuke’s.
“I draw!” He shouted, now running through his hand; analyzing each card as his amber eyes moved across their faces. “I activate Magical Citadel of Endymion!” Placing the card into the field-spell slot, the entire arena altered into a grand place ruin, plastered in temple similitude as pillars edged through the sides. “I also play 2 cards face-down, and summon Nimble Momonga in defense position!”
As the furry mammalian emerged onto the field from seemingly nothineness, another utterance escaped the duelist’s lips. “Your turn.”

"I'll start off with yet another facedown monster and I won't do anything else except place a facedown in my spell and trap zone. My policy that I follow is the first to attack loses the duel. Drawing another card, Ryūsuke through strategic situations that could prove constructive to his current card-play. His opponent wouldn’t attack, indicating a rather devious plan for future references. Okay, two could play this game. Unfortunately for Apollo, Ryūsuke’s would be perilous if he didn’t choose to attack.
“I’ll summon Ebon Magician Curran in defense mode as well.” Setting the card on the field roster, the plush young magician fitted in black manifested on the field, crouching down into a defensive stance.
“I end my turn.”

Ryusuke announced, activating one of his 2 face-down cards, generating a pit leading to an unavoidable death beneath the avenger. Did Apollo also have a counter for such a deadly tactic?

“I’ll activate Curran’s effect; and for each monster on your side of the field, you’ll lose 300 Life points (900)”
Ryūsuke exclaimed rather tranquilly as Curran danced her fingers in a mendacious fashion, engendering a raw mass of dark energy that exploded from her being, towards Apolla; inflicting (hopefully) the compulsory life-points from his count; giving him the opportune lead in the duel.
“Now, I draw,” he called out, pulling another card from his deck, and soon enough, lifted one a card up and set It on the field.
“I Tribute, Momonga, to summon Dark Red Enchanter (1700/ 2200) onto the field.”
Soon enough on the field, a great burst of white erupted throughout the field. Dying down moments later, a Knight, draped in crimson red armor with golden edgings stood on the field; a sword in one hand, and a shield in the other.
“Now, for its effect.” He boasted confidently. “When summoned to the field, it gains two spell counters. And for each spell counter, he gains 300 attack points, giving him a grand total of 2300.”
Setting one card down in the magic-trap zone, He moved onto his battle phase. “Dark Red Enchanter, attack Blizzard dragon!

Oddly enough, Ryūsuke wasn’t fazed by the recognition of damage being canceled as Dark Red Enchanter lanced through the powerful Dragon, its crimson flame engrossed blade piercing its heart, then combusting internally. As his opponent drew, Ryūsuke watched conscientiously as he called out.
“I end my turn.”

With his effect, I discard a card to the grave and I declare a type to be destroyed. Bye bye to all spellcasters. Any counters to that?

“I activate Raigeki Break!”
He discarded his final card from his hand as a massive bolt of lightning shimmered from the sky, striking Apollo’s insect; destroying it, and terminating its effect; leaving his field ample.
“Then I play, Miracle Restoring, to summon the Dark Magician I just discarded!”
Taking away a spell counter from Enchanter and his field spell, Ryususke summoned his mighty Dark Magician from the grave, now on the field side his two companions.

“I draw,” Ryusuke exclaimed, peering at his hand of one until he soon looked across the field at Apollo. “I activate Pot of Greed.”
Drawing two cards, Ryusuke’s eyes narrowed, still holding an indifferent look to keep suspension and anticipation low on Apollo’s perceptive trait. All the while, another Spell counter was added to Ryusuke’s field spell and Dark Red Enchanter, taking his Life points back up to 2300.
“I set two cards face-down, and now, Dark Magician, attack his face-down monster!”
