Prologue: Dreams, Fate, Hope
¡§Infernal Light!¡¨ Both streams of fire and light rushed to meet its target, bursting brightly from the palm of a man's hand.
It¡¦s target? A giant kraken's face. The kraken wasn't hurt at all. It flung it's giant tentacle onto the man. He held up a single hand, ready to stop the tentacle in his tracks. Suprisingly to many, the tentacle stopped.
Suddenly another tentacle whipped up, fire blazing powerfully on this tentacle. Using his other hand, the man destroyed it easily using the same attack as before.
Now, the man put both of his hands up the the tentacle. "Flaming Destruction!" The tentacle he was holding disintegrated. Finally, using both of his hands he flung himself at the kraken. "Ultimate Iceflame blast!" The Kraken blew up.
"Good job, you still got it in you!¡¨ A man laughed.
"I¡¦m not that good am I?¡¨ Another older man laughed. But the laughter in the room was harsh.
They had business. Business that wasn¡¦t to joke around about. Both men knew that.
The men headed out of the room where the exploded fake kraken was and went into a room that looked like a laboratory.
"How¡¦s the dream?¡¨ the younger man said, in a sudden serious voice. ¡§Just fine,¡¨ an woman said.
For years they had worked on what was called ¡§The Dream¡¨. It was just plainly just a normal dream, made by Solarians.
It¡¦s purpose? To be sent out to eight children as a message. A message of what was coming. The eight in the room worked day and night, sometimes two people going into the giant kraken room to practice their combat skills.
This cycle went for many years. Finally it was done. ¡§Send it.¡¨ A woman¡¦s voice said quietly and grimly. She felt sad for those children. They would wake up in the middle of the night, sweating to death. But business was business and it had to be done.
The ¡§Dream¡¨ was sent. The children would receive it. And go on a journey never to be forgotten by chroniclers. Never.
Suddenly the walls of the fairly big laboratory room exploded. Everyone got into combat position, their zen and mana full. They had prepared for this day.
Dark creatures, chaotic creatures appeared in shrouds, ready to strike any second. Yet the creatures were almost beautiful, even if pure evil. All elements were on them, making the creatures for experts.
Nothing would stop them from destroying the laboratory.
The eight didn¡¦t worry. The dreams were sent. Things would be different. This wasn¡¦t their true life.
And their battle started. The eight used all their strength. Not to protect themselves. Instead, they went on the offensive.
To destroy as much creatures as possible, before the time came to die.
That was their fate for now. Until it changed. If it would. Now would it?
