Rain drew a card. "My turn, I summon my Cursed Warrior with 1400 attack...I end my turn." She wasn't going to attack yet. She wanted to see something first. She just hoped her hesitation wouldn't lead to her loss.

He couldn't hear him, even if he wanted to. He was too focused on the duel to get distracted. "I draw!" He looked at the card and realized it wasn't going to help just yet. He wants to see the gladiator's dueling tactics first. Although he might need some defense. "I summon a monster face-down and that will end my turn." There wasn't many options. He was not used to this deck, so he's at a disadvantage. He needs to figure this deck out fast, Rain isn't attacking just yet, but that gladiator beast might attack next turn.

"Bah. Too much stalling. I draw. I set another facedown." Octavius smiled. "I summon Rescue cat. A rather weak card, but useful. I send Rescue cat to the grave, and now, I get to summon two beast monsters. Gladiator beast Samnite (1600 atk), Gladiator beast Torax (1400 atk), come! Samnite, attack Confused's facedown. Do you have a counter?" Octavius relaxed.
Even if both Samnite and Torax were destroyed, he'd still have a defense. This was going to be very interesting.

He watched his face-down Red Gadget get destroyed. "Fine, destroy my monster." Even though his monster was destroyed, two more enter the field. Tiki soul in defense mode with 1800 defense and Zoma the Spirit with 500 defense. "Let's see you get past these monsters." He waits patiently, almost blindly, for the gladiator beast's next move.

"Tiki Soul? But he has 1800 defense points... why attack him? Anyway I'm not going to risk it. I activate Floral Shield!" Flowers appear to protect his Tiki Soul, negating the attack. "Not only does this card allow me to negate your attack, but because of it I can also draw one card!" An important draw since he only had two cards in his hand from placing that many cards. Now to patiently wait.

"No matter. I don't get the damage anyway. I end my turn. Now you figure out why I attacked. Because Samnite attacked, I get to send him back to the deck to special summon another monster. Now, Gladiator Beast Murmillo (800 atk), to the field. Murmillo's effect lets me destroy your Zoma the spirit! Counters? If not, I end my turn."

He laughed, "Nice effect, no I don't have a counter. I have another effect, my tiki soul's effect, when a trap monster other then himself is destroyed, I can set him face-down in my spell/trap card zone instead of him going to the graveyard." He watched his trap monster get destroyed and reappear face-down. Guess that explains why. Now to wait for Rain to take her turn, so that he can annihilate the gladiator beast.

Rain drew another card and looked at it. She was going to try for something. She figured Confused and Octavius were busy focusing on each other. "I summon Cursed Mage, 1300 attack. I end my turn." She looked at the next card in her hand that she needed. She looked elsewhere as she waited for the next turn to be played. In her mind, she still was deciding who to attack.

"I draw!" Ironic, time for something new. "I summon Dark Resonator in attack mode! Now I tune him and my level four tiki soul to summon Black Rose Dragon!" A dragon made entirely out of rose petals appears. "Now say goodbye to what's on the field. Black Rose Dragon, wipe out everything!" The Black Rose Dragon's effect allows it to destroy whatever is on the field when summoned. Now who will counter or chain to this?

(OOC: I posted in the C-box, but I will be away on the weekend. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and part of Monday.)
"Go ahead. The one thing I do activate is my facedown trap, Waboku." Octavius laughs. Unless the human could summon another monster, this was a bad move for him.

"How ironic, everything gone by roses." He laughed a little. "I'll place the rest of my hand face-down and that will end my turn." All three cards face-down. Nothing else, had no monsters. This might be more difficult then he thought.
