You're forgetting Ha Des's Effect. It negates the effects of Effect Monsters destroyed by Fiend-Type monsters I control. Since Dark Resonator would normally be destroyed, it negates your Dark Resonator's effect and it gets destroyed.
You don't take any damage, though. Counters to my Dark Ruler's effect?
