Shanghai close poultry markets as bird flu death toll rises
A large number of ducks, geese, turkeys, turkeys and geese have been found dead at a chicken farm in China's Fujian province.
A total of 12 wild ducks were found dead at a farm in Dzhanjiang, in a village around 700km southeast of the capital city of Beijing.
Two birds were also found dead at a farm in Zhenjiang in Shanxi province, Xinhua news agency said on Saturday.

Chinese media have reported that poultry farmer Xiu Shi'an is to carry out tests for the bird flu and is expected to produce a death certificate next week.
An official at the county-owned Zhenjiang county animal protection bureau in Dzhanjiang said a total of two ducks were found dead, while another two birds had died.
The dead birds were either male or female, it was not clear who was responsible.
Local authorities in the nearby village of Zhenjiang saw a "huge" number of dead birds after the animals were first spotted at 1.30pm local time, Dzhanjiang Daily reported.
Officials were looking into whether the duck killing was linked to a new outbreak of the bird flu.
There have been more than 10 million cases of flu, mainly imported from Asia, since September 2013, while there have been about 50 million recorded cases worldwide.
According to the World Health Organization, the virus is spread by infected birds having contact with someone who has the disease, usually a close human or a contact in an infected animal's environment.
The death rate for the disease is estimated to be about two in 1,000.

Longford plan aims to keep regions rural character; however, many other towns will be moved to Belfast.
"Northern Ireland is on course for a decline in urban population over the next 20 years, which will force regions to move from a more rural character to one dominated by cities.
"Families are increasingly going for longer-distance bus links to work from outside the city centre and Northern Ireland's major transport routes are becoming increasingly crowded."
The report also highlighted the effects of increased traffic on road safety. It notes the "growing problem" of traffic collisions in towns such as Conwy, Belfast and Downpatrick, due to an influx of cars and trucks. The road crashes have seen serious injuries and a substantial number of fatalities.
It also stated, "Northern Ireland is having a major impact on the overall health of its population.
"The number of deaths resulting from injury to adults has grown by 30 per cent over the last five years as traffic congestion in cities has increased, while fatalities per 100,000 have increased by 27 per cent."
The report further states: "Northern Ireland continues to have a large and growing public health problem.
"It has a high proportion of people with mental health and substance misuse disorders and an estimated 20,000 people in care each year. A large proportion of these are vulnerable people with mental health difficulties, such as those with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or addiction.
"Overall, there is a substantial public funding gap, with a growing dependency ratio and more than half of the health expenditure going to non-communicable disease.
"Northern Ireland also has an ageing population, with many of the population having reached retirement age and it is estimated that around a quarter of the population is aged between 75 and 89."
There is a significant increase in heroin, as well as an increase in violent crime in Northern Ireland and in areas of Belfast.
A spokesperson for the Department of Health said: "Northern Ireland has a strong record in protecting people from harm and there is nothing we can do to mitigate it when it comes to alcohol or tobacco.
"We are committed to fighting tobacco, particularly smoking in pubs, to help cut down on problems related to public drunkenness.
"However, a significant proportion of all alcohol consumed in Northern Ireland is purchased outside of pubs and is also consumed elsewhere, sometimes after midnight."
