"Don't forget during your standby phase I'm allowed to draw four cards." He checked his cards and stared by at her. "Not exactly a counter, a chain! I activate Emergency Provisions!" The face-down flips up as a spell card. "When this card is activated I can send one spell or trap card I have on the field and gain 1000 life points, and I choose Mirage of Nightmare!" Both spells diminished from the field and Confused gained 1000 life points, putting him ahead with a total of 5000 Life Points. A good move, since mirage of nightmare is gone, so is the negative effect of sending cards from his hand to the graveyard on his standby phase. "Now your cursed thief effect, which face-down?" A cursed monster... who was it that used that? He can't remember, along with most of his life. Let's see which card she chooses.

Rain figured it didn't really matter which she chose, fifty fifty chance, "I choose the one on the left." She declared.

The face-down spell/trap trap lifts into the air to reveal the trap Hero Signal. It then goes back down. "Anything else?"

Rain shrugged, "If I then want, I can take that facedown and use it as my own but I don't want it so I end my turn there." She looked at her Cursed Thief standing there ready to fight. She once again flickered to unfocused but quickly returned to normal.

"Alright, I draw! Elemental Hero Nova Master, attack the cursed thief!" He watched the flames surge at that cursed monster. Staring at one of his opponent's face-down, assuming that it might stop the attack.

"I knew it." The fire disappears into the vortex. With four cards in his hand, confused places one card face-down as he ends his turn. He smiles as he says"Your turn, hope you get a good draw." Although maybe he should hope he does, he doesn't even know what happens when he loses, she didn't say her request.

Rain drew a card. "My draw..." She took a quick glance across the cards in her hand before seeing one she thought she could use. "I summon Cursed Warrior to the field. But unfortunately, he isn't going to stay long. I take him and Cursed thief to synchro summon Cursed Goddess! (2500). Now, I'm not done yet. Her effect allows me to attack you directly if I have two or more monsters in my graveyard. And I do, so unless you have a counter, you're going to lose 2500 life points." She said, as Cursed Goddess rose her staff into the air aiming at her opponent, a beam starting to form.

"I activate Hero Barrier! If I have an Elemental Hero on the field, the attack is negated." He watched as his elemental hero defends him. "Close one, by the way you never answered, if you win this duel what do you get?" He waits for an answer since he really wants to know.

Rain's other facedown raises, "I activate Dark Bribe." She pauses as she thought about what she was getting, "Well, you become like me." She said simply.

"What? What do you mean like you?" He draws one card and takes the damage, but he doesn't flinch at all when the attack strikes. "While you answer, finish your turn."

"I place a facedown and end my turn." She said as a card appeared on the field. Her Cursed Goddess stood still after her attack, the light on the staff becoming dark again. "And what I mean is that you will become a Dark Dueler and work for the queen." She said, her involuntary pull of loyalty towards the queen making her words seem confident.

"Queen? I'll ask questions when my turn is done, I draw!" Confused looked at his cards again. "Perfect, I summon Elemental Hero Bubbleman in attack mode! And I'll equip him with bubble blaster and bubble rod! Each giving him 800 attack points." The warrior holding a blaster and rod, mainly the blaster since it's really heavy. With 2400 Attack points, he's gonna wait a while since she might want to counter.

"Ummm ok, Elemental Hero Nova Master, attack Cursed Goddess!" She's got to have a counter for this now, she wouldn't have set a face-down for no reason. Maybe he's over thinking this. Although she won't be winning this duel.
