I activate Defender, the Magical Knight's effect. By giving up one spell counter, I can prevent one spellcaster from being destroyed in battle...it should be obvious which spellcaster I choose >_>

Well, I don't have anything to counter with, so Defender, the Magical Knight is sent to the graveyard.

The monster you destroyed was an Apprentice Magician. Nothing can receive a spell counter, but since he was destroyed in battle, I get to choose a lvl 2 monster from my deck and place it in face down position.
*card chosen, re-shuffles deck*
Alright, go on.

The card you destroyed was Old Vindictive Magician. It's flip effect allows me to choose one monster to destroy.
And I choose your Black Root Giant!

I thought so. Very well. My Giant is gone, and my Lion loses 300 ATK, 1900. I'll end with a face - down. H - 2 M - Botanical Lion[1900/2000] in Attack Mode S & T - 1 Face - Down Life - 3500(I keep forgetting )

I Draw! I summon my Evil Thorn in Attack Mode. I send it to the graveyard to give you 300 Points of Damage. Then, I can get two more Evil Thorns. Also meaning my Lion gets 600 more Attack Points. I end my turn. H - 2 M - Botanical Lion[2500/2000] in Attack Mode | Evil Thorns[100/300] in Defense Mode S & T - 1 Face - Down Life - 3500

I draw a card. Yay cards~
I flip my facedown monster, which was another Old Vindictive Magician. His effect allows me to destroy one of your monster, and I choose your Botanical Lion!
Counter?

Alrighty then.
I summon a Silent Magician Lvl 4 (1000/1000) in attack mode, who gains 500 attack for every spell counter he has, which he automatically gains every time you draw a card. I also place one magic/trap card facedown.
Counter?
